Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Smonsmana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stefan Struve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smonsmana comes to the cage accompanied by say hello to my little friend. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smonsmana shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Smonsmana showed some decent athleticism there.

Smonsmana is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Smonsmana looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Smonsmana postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Struve is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Smonsmana, into his guard.

Smonsmana has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Struve is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Smonsmana.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
