The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendez looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Henderson avoids a kick to the body.
Henderson avoids the head kick by Mendez.
Mendez misses with a kick to the body.
Mendez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Henderson moves away.
Mendez throws a body kick that misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mendez. Henderson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mendez looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Mendez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Henderson is looking to clinch but Mendez is avoiding it.
Henderson tries to move into range but Mendez moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Mendez throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Henderson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Mendez swinging wildly here.
Mendez cracks Henderson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Mendez has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Henderson to stand back up!
Henderson is rocked!
It looks like Randy Henderson has been cut.
Mendez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mendez misses with a head kick.
