Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gold Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan comes to the cage accompanied by Darude - Sandstorm. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gold Ryan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ryan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ryan scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Ryan is trying to get an arm triangle but Nogueira is defending well. Ryan prevents Nogueira from escaping the position. Ryan misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Ryan working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Nogueira is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Ryan swings around for an armbar but Nogueira sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Ryan's guard. Ryan looking for a guillotine here but Nogueira defends easily.
Ryan has his foot on Nogueira's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nogueira works his way back into a safe position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nogueira wanted to stand there but Ryan had control of the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ryan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nogueira is aware though and is defending well. Nogueira is looking to stand up but Ryan won't let him. Ryan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Nogueira looks gassed! Nogueira is looking to stand up but Ryan won't let him. Ryan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nogueira stands up and waves to Ryan to follow him. Ryan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Ryan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Ryan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Nogueira doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ryan.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryan prevents Nogueira from standing back up.
Ryan is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Ryan is trying to control. Nogueira wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Ryan trying to mount his opponent but Nogueira defends it. Ground and pound from Ryan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ryan is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Nogueira! Nogueira wants to get back to his feet.
Nogueira defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Ryan. Ryan looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Ryan with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nogueira tries to buck Ryan off but he can't manage it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gold Ryan dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Ryan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nogueira looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Ryan tries for a kimura but Nogueira is defending well. Ryan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nogueira is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Ryan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ryan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Ryan prevents Nogueira from escaping the position. Nogueira is breathing heavily.

Nogueira knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Ryan is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Nogueira is trying to escape and Ryan transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Nogueira is forced to tap! Nice work there by Ryan! Very nice indeed!
