Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Alb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stevie Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alb comes to the cage accompanied by Sandstorm. Walker has chosen Thugs as his entrance music. Ryan Alb has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Alb walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Alb closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Walker is pressing down on Alb's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Alb wants to control from the top but Walker keeps moving.
Walker is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Alb advances to half guard.
Alb sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Walker defending well though.

Alb seems to be working for a kimura but Walker defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Walker wants to improve his position but Alb is controlling well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Alb sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Walker throws a right and a left that Alb avoids nicely.
Walker throws a low kick but it's checked well by Alb.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Walker lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Walker leaves Alb with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Alb tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Alb tries to close the distance and clinch but Walker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Alb steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Walker. That one must have hurt.

Alb pushes Walker up against the cage in a clinch.
Walker makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Walker works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Walker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Walker tries to land a front kick but Alb steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Alb thows a body shot but no joy.
Walker swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Walker throws the kick towards the body but Alb avoids it.
Walker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Alb manages to avoid it.
Walker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Alb moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Walker defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Alb.

Walker throws a right hand that Alb ducks under and follows up with a left that Alb also avoids with ease.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Alb counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Alb throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Walker works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Walker is trying to keep Alb in close.

Walker controls Alb momentarily but Alb frees himself.
Alb looking to sit in guard and control but Walker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Alb can't keep his opponent in guard - Walker advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Walker trying to control the position from guard on top but Alb is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Walker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Alb has control of Walker's left arm, preventing Walker from doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Walker wants to control from the top but Alb keeps moving.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Alb is on top in guard.

Alb takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Walker tries to bum rush Alb with a series of wild strikes but Alb uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Alb is defended easily by Walker.

Both fighters circling a little - Walker finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Walker bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Alb's head backwards.
Walker pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Alb looks for a takedown but Walker sprawls well.
A jab from Walker does it's job there.
Stevie Walker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Walker comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Walker throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Walker - that will leave a mark!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Walker.
