The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rex avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rex checks a leg kick.
Peterson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rex.
Peterson is looking to chop away at Rex's legs.
Rex misses with a wild body shot.
Peterson doesn't manage to clinch there - Rex circles away.
Peterson throws a leg kick that is checked
and Rex counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
A punch combination from Peterson misses.
Rex smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Peterson tries to close the distance and clinch but Rex swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rex throws a sloppy head kick and Peterson moves out of range easily.
Peterson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rex circles away quickly and effectively.
Rex rushes Peterson and presses him up against the cage.
Peterson misses with the head strike.
Rex breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rex thumps Peterson with a low kick.
Peterson is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Peterson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rex lands a right hook to the body.
Peterson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Peterson is rocked!
Rex lands a brutal uppercut that launches Peterson off his feet! Peterson tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
