Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Hawkwoods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jans Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jans Ferguson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson throws a front kick aimed at Hawkwoods's knee but Hawkwoods avoids it well.

Hawkwoods has control of Ferguson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ferguson regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hawkwoods got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ferguson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hawkwoods has managed to get both his arms back between Ferguson's legs - danger averted.
