Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Moriarty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Doralez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moriarty kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Broken Dreams. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doralez looks to land a combination but Moriarty avoids it well.
Doralez keeps the fight on the outside.
Moriarty checks a leg kick.

Doralez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Moriarty as he jumps to the side.

Doralez tries to bum rush Moriarty with a series of wild strikes but Moriarty uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Doralez moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Doralez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Moriarty paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Doralez lands with a kick to the temple. Moriarty shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


It looks like James Moriarty has been cut.
Doralez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Moriarty is fending him off so far but Doralez persists. Nope, Moriarty circles away and we're back to standing.
James Moriarty has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Don Doralez.

Moriarty shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Doralez defends it nicely.
Doralez throws a series of punches but Moriarty moves out of range.

Moriarty tries to move into range but Doralez moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Doralez does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moriarty tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Doralez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Doralez lands with a nice body punch.
Doralez leaves Moriarty with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Moriarty jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Doralez walks away with a smile on his face. Moriarty gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Doralez can do anything to dispel that myth.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Doralez lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Moriarty has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Moriarty and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Moriarty throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Doralez's waist but Doralez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Moriarty off to one side.
Don Doralez is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
