The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson slips a jab from Rye Rock.
Rye Rock shoots in but Patterson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Patterson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rye Rock paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Patterson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Patterson bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Anthony Patterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ryan Rye Rock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Patterson.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rye Rock is keen to just control but Patterson is a slippery customer.

Rye Rock loads up on a big left hand. Patterson felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Rye Rock looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Patterson can't hide his disappointment, as Rye Rock celebrates the victory.
