The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Born throws a big shot that misses.
Born walks into a stiff left hand from makunouchi.

Born looks to land a combination but makunouchi avoids it well.
makunouchi avoids a punch combination nicely.
Born swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and makunouchi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Born counters with a three punch combo that has makunouchi backing up. makunouchi nods at Born to acknowledge the strikes.

makunouchi leaves Born with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Born shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts makunouchi as he jumps to the side.

Born takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Isak Born has been cut.

Born takes the fight into the clinch.
makunouchi drops down looking for an ankle pick but Born pulls his leg out and moves away.
Born avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
makunouchi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
makunouchi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Born gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

makunouchi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and makunouchi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Born had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. makunouchi defends it easily.
makunouchi passes Born's left leg - he's now in half guard.

makunouchi looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
