Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brent Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Hoyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hoyle's choice of entrance music: Yo Gotti - Women lie, men lie instrumental . Steven Hoyle acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brent Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steven Hoyle!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Joseph Jones and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson doesn't manage to clinch there - Hoyle circles away.

Hoyle scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson is looking to control Hoyle's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jackson avoid being mounted?
Hoyle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jackson wants to control the action here but instead Hoyle manages to pass to full mount!
Jackson bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hoyle wants to pass the guard but Jackson is keeping the position.
Jackson wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Hoyle is now in half guard.
Jackson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hoyle is working away from the top position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hoyle seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jackson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Jackson is looking for a sweep.
Hoyle advances to full mount.
Jackson is looking to improve his position but Hoyle isn't that keen on the idea.
Hoyle scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Jackson?
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hoyle lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jackson hang on?
Jackson tries to hold on but Hoyle pushes him away.

Hoyle misses with a takedown
and Jackson counters with a left to the body.
Jackson throws the left hand but Hoyle avoids the punch easily.

Hoyle changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jackson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
A bit of a lull in the action here.
Jackson trying to control but Hoyle flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Hoyle keeps control of the position easily here as Jackson tries to buck him off.
Jackson is trying to get back to his feet but Hoyle has full control of the position and if anything, Jackson has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hoyle is hanging on to Jackson's back as he tries to escape.

Hoyle is trying to stick to Jackson's back but Jackson is turning into Hoyle. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Hoyle's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Jackson.

Hoyle has his foot on Jackson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jackson works his way back into a safe position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hoyle misses with a takedown attempt - Jackson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hoyle lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Hoyle has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jackson is proving hard to escape from.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Jackson wants to pass the guard but Hoyle is keeping the position.

Hoyle is looking for a triangle but Jackson pushes his legs off easily.

Jackson stands and steps away. Hoyle gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Hoyle ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hoyle no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Hoyle wants to hit a switch here but Jackson passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Hoyle there!

Brent Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steven Hoyle.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hoyle kicks Jackson off and gets back to his feet.
Jackson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hoyle can pounce on him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hoyle gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Brent Jackson showed his dominance in that final round.
