The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sobral feints and then cracks Stengel's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Stengel down.

Sobral goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Stengel doesn't manage to clinch there - Sobral circles away.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
