The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Shaw wants to pass the guard but Vader is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shaw is looking for a kimura but Vader is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Shaw to get the leverage.

Shaw is looking to advance position but Vader won't allow it.

Shaw wants to advance to full mount but Vader doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Shaw is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Vader defends well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
