Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cole Sugar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Hawk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cole Sugar! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Hawk with that takedown attempt. Hawk fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sugar moves in looking to clinch but Hawk pushes him off. Sugar pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hawk fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Hawk. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sugar clinches. Hawk changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sugar fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Hawk fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hawk looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Hawk blocks a head kick by Sugar.
Hawk bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Sugar wants to control but Hawk postures up. Sugar wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Sloppy strikes there by Hawk.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sloppy strikes there by Hawk. Sugar tries to bench press Hawk off him but Hawk keeps the position. You can see the frustration on Sugar's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The strikes coming from Hawk are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Hawk tries to advance to mount but Sugar denies him.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. A good leg kick by Sugar. Sugar scores with a head kick.

Hawk takes a body punch but keeps moving. Hawk has a takedown stuffed. The fight moves into the clinch position. Hawk drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sugar gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Sugar is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sugar pressing his opponent against the cage. Sugar is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Hawk is keeping busy. Sugar landing knees to the body.
Hawk wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sugar has him pressed against the cage. Sugar throws a knee to the head but misses.
A bit of stalling here from Hawk.

Sugar throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Hawk blocks it with crossed arms. Sugar looks gassed! Sugar missing with knees to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawk fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Hawk has Sugar pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sugar manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Sugar tries a knee to the head but Hawk blocks it.

Hawk is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Sugar prevents the takedown attempt.
Hawk is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Sugar pulls him back up using the underhooks. Sugar unloads a knee to the mid-section. Hawk lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Hawk tries to pull guard but Sugar won't allow it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sugar misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Hawk.
Hawk tries to score a body lock takedown but Sugar shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Sugar wants to stall.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hawk takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Sugar lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Hawk tries for a takedown but Sugar manages to get underhooks.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cole Sugar dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hawk tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sugar swivels and escapes. Hawk shoots in looking for a takedown. Sugar tries to sprawl out of it but Hawk keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sugar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A head kick misses from Sugar. A head kick misses from Sugar. Sugar is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Sugar wants to clinch. Hawk keeps the fight on the outside. Hawk shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hawk showed some decent athleticism there. Hawk controlling the action here. Hawk stalling away here and it's allowed Sugar to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawk postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sugar is breathing heavily. Hawk trying to control the position from guard on top but Sugar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hawk has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Hawk in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hawk is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Sugar wriggles free and stands up. Hawk fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sugar sprawls well initially but Hawk persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Sugar avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hawk. Sugar is in trouble now - Hawk has advanced to mount! Hawk scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Sugar is rocked! The referee warns Sugar that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Sugar is still in real trouble! Can Hawk finish him? Sugar taking shots to the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sugar takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Sugar wants to control but Hawk is having none of it. Sugar sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Sugar is trying to stand up here but Hawk is controlling him well. Hawk throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Sugar keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Hawk throwing shots but Sugar is blocking nicely. Sugar seems to have recovered his senses. Sugar is trying to maintain the position but Hawk is very close to passing his half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawk throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hawk working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Sugar's thigh. Sugar counters though and makes it back to full guard. Hawk trying to control but Sugar is working from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jab from Sugar. Hawk circles away from the clinch attempt.

Hawk shoots in for a double leg but Sugar sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Hawk. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hawk looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Hawk in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hawk throws a strike but Sugar rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Sugar gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sugar tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hawk closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sugar circles away. Sugar is looking to clinch. Sugar throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Cole Sugar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hawk takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Hawk bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Sugar taking punishment in the form of punches.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hawk landing strikes. Hawk scoring with punches from side control. Hawk is working Sugar over with some ground and pound from side control. Hawk tries to advance to mount but can't. Sugar tries to improve position but can't. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sugar is trying to control Hawk's posture but Hawk avoids it. Sugar manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Hawk dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Hawk scores with a takedown into Sugar's guard. Sugar is looking to stand up but Hawk isn't so interested in that idea. Hawk sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sugar's guard. Sugar keeping hold of Hawk's head, controlling as best he can. Sugar tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Hawk has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Sugar takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hawk landing punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawk tries to control but Sugar wriggling away. Hawk misses with a head shot. Hawk breaks from Sugar's wrist control and lands an elbow. Hawk is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sugar can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
A nice elbow there by Hawk. Sugar in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Sugar wants to control but Hawk is having none of it. Hawk sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Hawk is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sugar is trying to stand. Sugar keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Sugar tries to buck Hawk off but he can't manage it. Hawk breaks from Sugar's wrist control and lands an elbow. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sugar wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Hawk.
Sugar tries to lock up and control but Hawk gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Hawk scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Sugar is bucking up trying to escape but Hawk cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sugar is squirming around, avoiding Hawk's attempts to control the action. Mike Hawk overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sugar wants to hold on but Hawk pushes him away. Hawk trying to control but Sugar is having none of it. Hawk cracks Sugar with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Sugar tries to hold on but Hawk pushes him away. Hawk with the ground and pound from mount. Sugar slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sugar trying to hold on to Hawk's head to control him but Hawk postures up.
Sugar might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hawk kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Sugar tries to roll over but Hawk keeps him under control. Hawk prevents Sugar from standing back up.
Sugar has hold of Hawk's hands but Hawk slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Hawk scoring with strikes to the body and head. Hawk seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hawk is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Hawk is pressing down on Sugar's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sugar is holding on for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Hawk showed his dominance in that final round. I think Hawk has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
