Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ivailo Miljevski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gegard Mocassins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ivailo Miljevski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gegard Mocassins! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mocassins keeps the fight on the outside. Mocassins shoots in and bounces Miljevski off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Mocassins distracts Miljevski with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Mocassins is stalling in the full guard. Miljevski wants to sweep here but Mocassins controlling him for the moment. Miljevski is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Miljevski looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mocassins is one step ahead there. Mocassins postures up.
Mocassins postures up and lands a big shot to Miljevski's brow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mocassins postures up in Miljevski's guard and throws a big left but Miljevski blocks it. Mocassins must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Mocassins slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mocassins postures up.
Mocassins stays in close to Miljevski's body and controls the position. Miljevski is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Mocassins advances position into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mocassins in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Miljevski is trying to control Mocassins's posture but Mocassins avoids it. Mocassins throwing shots but missing, from side control. Miljevski tries to bench press Mocassins off him but Mocassins keeps the position. Miljevski prevents Mocassins from moving into mount. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Miljevski is trying to escape the position but Mocassins is controlling the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mocassins feints and as Miljevski raises his hands in defense, Mocassins changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Mocassins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Miljevski swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mocassins with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mocassins trying to control but Miljevski is working from the bottom. Mocassins's corner is telling him to maintain position. Miljevski looking to control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Miljevski is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Miljevski moves in looking to clinch but Mocassins pushes him off. Mocassins shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mocassins showed some decent athleticism there. Mocassins is looking to take a break and control but Miljevski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miljevski wants to control but Mocassins is keeping busy and won't allow it. Mocassins throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Still in half guard, Mocassins seems content to control. Mocassins trying to pass the guard but Miljevski defending well. Mocassins works his way into side control. Mocassins working away. Mocassins controlling from side mount. Miljevski is trying to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mocassins feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Mocassins passes Miljevski's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Mocassins seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Miljevski does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Mocassins is taking a breather. Miljevski says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Mocassins working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Mocassins trying to control the action but Miljevski is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mocassins is working for a submission of some sort.

That's one minute gone in the round. Mocassins thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Mocassins working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Miljevski actively working from the bottom here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mocassins tries to pass to full mount but Miljevski defends it. Mocassins throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Still in half guard, Mocassins seems content to control. Mocassins missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Miljevski is staying active underneath Mocassins, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Miljevski is looking for a sweep. Mocassins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Miljevski shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Mocassins counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Miljevski wants to sweep but Mocassins has passed to side control! Mocassins has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Miljevski takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Gegard Mocassins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Miljevski pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Mocassins fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Miljevski, pushing him back against the cage. Miljevski is fighting off a takedown attempt but Mocassins is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Miljevski to the mat. Miljevski regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Mocassins lands a couple of decent looking shots. Mocassins slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Miljevski is looking to regain half guard here but Mocassins keeps moving and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miljevski trying to remain calm as Mocassins controls from the top position. Mocassins working the head and body with strikes. Mocassins in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Miljevski takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Mocassins working the ground and pound from side control. Miljevski prevents Mocassins from moving into mount. Miljevski tries to buck Mocassins off but Mocassins is having none of it. Mocassins grinds an elbow into Miljevski's temple. Mocassins lands some shots froms side control. Mocassins cracks Miljevski with a big elbow. Mocassins lands some shots froms side control. Mocassins working the body and head with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mocassins stands up and we're back to a striking position. Mocassins shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Miljevski is trying to defend but Mocassins finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mocassins works his way into side control. Miljevski tries to buck Mocassins off but Mocassins is having none of it. Mocassins is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Miljevski takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Miljevski regains half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gegard Mocassins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Miljevski gets caught flat footed, as Mocassins shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Mocassins slips nicely into half guard. Miljevski tries to roll over but Mocassins keeps him under control. Miljevski tries to kick Mocassins off but Mocassins keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Mocassins lands with a punch from half guard. Mocassins works his way into side control. Mocassins working away. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Miljevski prevents Mocassins from improving position. You can see the frustration on Miljevski's face as Mocassins controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miljevski takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Mocassins just content to control the position. Gegard Mocassins has got the better of the ground game so far. Miljevski is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Mocassins is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Mocassins takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Mocassins landing punches. Mocassins working for a guillotine from mount but Miljevski is in no mood to give up. Miljevski wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mocassins looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Mocassins postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Miljevski looks a forlorn figure.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mocassins lands a heavy elbow. Mocassins lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Mocassins has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Miljevski is trying desperately to improve position. Mocassins is landing with some decent strikes but Miljevski is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Miljevski is rocked! Mocassins lands with some strikes. Oh Miljevski is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Miljevski throwing hammer fists to the chest of Mocassins. What's that going to do exactly?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mocassins tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Mocassins with shots to the head and body - Miljevski looks very uncomfortable down there. Miljevski defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Mocassins. Miljevski seems to have got his legs back now. Mocassins takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Mocassins lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A nice elbow there by Mocassins. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mocassins takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Ivailo Miljevski has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gegard Mocassins is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Gegard Mocassins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mocassins has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
