The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takanaka misses with a jab, cross combination.
Takanaka tries to move into range but Diaz moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Takanaka throws a push kick but Diaz slaps the foot to one side.
Takanaka bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Takanaka scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Diaz connects with a right hand. Takanaka shakes it off.
Takanaka throws a body kick that misses.
Takanaka looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Diaz thows a left - swing and a miss!
Takanaka misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Diaz cracks Takanaka with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Takanaka falls to his knees and Diaz doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
