Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Alliss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Toro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alliss comes to the cage accompanied by Bring Me To Life. Toro has chosen Te Dejo Madrid as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Alliss! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jose Toro! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Bruno Lombardi and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Toro tries for a takedown but Alliss sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Alliss slips a jab and a cross from Toro.
Alliss looks for a takedown but Toro sprawls well. Toro misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Toro throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Toro tries to bum rush Alliss with a series of wild strikes but Alliss uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Toro fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Alliss manages to avoid it. Alliss showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Toro.
Alliss changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Toro tries to avoid it but Alliss manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Toro to the ground. Toro escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Toro will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Toro doesn't succeed with the takedown and Alliss counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Alliss. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Toro is looking to break free of the clinch but Alliss has double underhooks. A frustrated look appears on Toro's face as he tries to break the clinch. Toro can't get the takedown.
Jon Alliss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Toro. Alliss lands with a light punch inside. Alliss lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. A short left from Alliss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Toro wants to break the clinch but can't.
Toro is looking to break free of the clinch but Alliss has double underhooks. Toro is trying to force a seperation but Alliss has the dominant position. Stalling in the clinch from Alliss.
Alliss drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Toro gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Nice body punch from Alliss - that landed with a thud.
Toro tries to circle away but Alliss has him pinned against the cage. Alliss has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Toro avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Alliss wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Alliss breaks the clinch.
Alliss is breathing heavily. Good work by Toro as he checks the leg kick. Jose Toro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Toro misses with the combination.
Toro scores with a takedown into Alliss's guard. Toro missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Toro throwing strikes but missing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Toro loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Toro advances to half guard. Alliss tries to get to full guard but Toro has control of the leg. Alliss blocking the ground and pound attempt from Toro. Alliss avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Toro. Alliss is not content to let Toro control the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Toro shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Alliss knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Toro on the ground. Toro throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alliss blocking the ground and pound attempt from Toro. Alliss avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Toro. Toro stands up from half guard. Nice sprawl there from Toro as Alliss shoots in. Toro throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Jon Alliss has been cut. Toro feints and as Alliss raises his hands in defense, Toro changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Alliss avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Toro throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Toro missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alliss keeping moving, preventing Toro from controlling successfully. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Toro accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Toro trying to control the position from guard on top but Alliss is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Toro thows a big elbow that misses. Toro working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Toro tries to clinch but fails miserably and Alliss counters with a shoot takedown. Toro fights it but they end up in guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Toro pushes a forearm under Alliss's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Alliss is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jose Toro!
