Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maicon Correa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvelous Manhoef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Correa goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Correa takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Correa feints and as Manhoef raises his hands in defense, Correa changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Correa drops back looking for a leg! Manhoef is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Manhoef manages to kick Correa off! Correa jumps back into Manhoef's guard.
Correa won't allow Manhoef to get back to his feet.
Correa trying to control the position from guard on top but Manhoef is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Correa thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Correa pushes down on Manhoef's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Manhoef blocking the ground and pound attempt from Correa.
Correa wants to take a breather but Manhoef is having none of it.
Correa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Manhoef is kicking away at Correa from the bottom - trying to push off and stand up. Correa grabs hold of a leg and drops back for a hell hook! The two fighters roll across the mat, with Manhoef trying to push Correa off... Manhoef taps! He's tapped! This one is all over! A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.
