The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cesta tries to clinch but Hardy is having none of it.
Hardy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cesta pinned against the cage. Cesta gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Cesta tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hardy was well out of range. Poor timing from Cesta.
Cesta tries to bum rush Hardy with a series of wild strikes but Hardy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hardy shoots for a takedown but Cesta saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cesta moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Hardy shoots in and bounces Cesta off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hardy drops back, looking for a kneebar! Cesta looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Cesta looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Cesta!
Cesta looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Hardy is avoiding damage well.

Cesta decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Hardy looks gassed!
Cesta throws a right and a left that Hardy avoids nicely.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hardy dodges the punch combination from Cesta.
Cesta throws a nice looking combination but Hardy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cesta scores with a one two! Hardy had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Hardy must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hardy has gone for a leg lock! Cesta slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hardy's guard.

Cesta gets to his feet. Hardy looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Cesta smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Hardy is breathing heavily.

Hardy fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Cesta cracks Hardy with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Cesta has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hardy to stand back up!
Hardy is rocked!
Cesta connects with a nice cross there... Hardy is looking wobbly and Cesta recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Hardy to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Cesta jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
