Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between pablao omaplat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cloud Strife (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). omaplat comes to the cage accompanied by surfacing. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, pablao omaplat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cloud Strife!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
omaplat looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Strife!
Strife is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Strife wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
omaplat is persistently looking for the submission but Strife is defending it well.
Strife is trying to break free.
Strife rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
omaplat prevents Strife from improving his position.
omaplat wants to control but Strife is keeping him busy.
omaplat is breathing heavily.
Strife regains full guard. Nicely done.
Strife is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Strife had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. omaplat is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Strife Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take omaplat's back instead.
That's one minute gone in the round.
omaplat tries to escape the position.
Strife is throwing shots to the body but omaplat manages to wriggle free. Strife pounces on him again and ends up in omaplat's guard.
Strife drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Strife jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Strife wants to pass the guard but omaplat is keeping the position.
omaplat is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Strife passes omaplat's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Strife uses his free foot to push down on omaplat's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for omaplat.
omaplat has left one of his arms exposed and Strife doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. omaplat screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Cloud Strife!
