Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Emong Cordero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joesph Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Cordero takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Cordero misses with a head kick.
Thompson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cordero avoids it really well and circles away.

Thompson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cordero circles away quickly and effectively.

Thompson throws a nice looking combination but Cordero bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Cordero throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Thompson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cordero's half guard.
Thompson looks to land a strike but Cordero avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Thompson throws a strike but Cordero rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Thompson closes the distance and clinches up with Cordero, looking for a takedown. Thompson pushes Cordero against the cage but Cordero circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Emong Cordero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joesph Thompson.
Thompson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cordero to the mat! Cordero manages to get full guard.
Cordero wants to get back to his feet but Thompson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

and Cordero counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Thompson is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Thompson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Cordero knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Cordero manages to escape and get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Thompson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Thompson tries to bum rush Cordero with a series of wild strikes but Cordero uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Some bone on bone action there as Thompson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cordero stalks Thompson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Thompson's face. Thompson staggers backwards, shaken.
Cordero throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Thompson on the side of the head.
A right-left combo lands from Thompson.
Thompson misses with a wild combination.
Cordero throws and low kick but Thompson moves out of range easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Emong Cordero is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
