Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kristobel James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lincoln Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lincoln Hawk has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kristobel James's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kristobel James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lincoln Hawk! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawk changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. James on the wrong end of a nice hook. Hawk moves forwards but James connects with a nice, crisp jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hawk misses with an uppercut. Hawk fails in his attempt to clinch. Hawk cracks James with a right hand to the side of the head. James lands with a nice combination. Hawk backs away looking to recover. Hawk drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. James walks into a stiff left hand from Hawk. Hawk avoids a lazy jab quite easily. James dodges the punch combination from Hawk.
James throws a hook but Hawk blocks it. A big right from James misses. James keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hawk. Hawk moves away from the strike by James. James misses with a looping right. Hawk displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as James throws out the jab. A jab from James misses. Hawk uses good head movement to avoid the hook from James. Hawk closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hawk is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Hawk breaks the clinch.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawk gets the takedown into side control. Hawk wants to lay and pray for a moment but James keeps working. Hawk throws an elbow but James slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. An elbow from Hawk crashes against the mat.
Hawk trying to control the action but James is working from the bottom. Hawk working the ground and pound but James is defending the strikes. Hawk is looking to take a break and control but James is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. James on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if James tries to get out of the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. James misses with a hook. Hawk steps to the side to avoid the strikes from James. Hawk swings for the body but James moves out of range.
James misses with a looping left. James with a body punch. A glancing blow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawk looks to throw the jab but James is out of range. Hawk dodges the punch combination from James.
James connects with the punch. Hawk keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from James. James misses with a hook. Hawk ducked under it nicely. Nice uppercut lands for Hawk. That snapped James's head back.
James lands a really nice looking cross but Hawk seems unphased.
Hawk ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. James misses with a looping left. Hawk keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from James. Hawk misses with a looping left. Hawk throws a right hand that James ducks under and follows up with a left that James also avoids with ease. James is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hawk. A jab from James does it's job there. An inside leg kick from James misses. James is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Hawk ducks under a wild hook from James. James jabs at Hawk's body. James misses with a looping right. Hawk looks to score with a jab to the body but James is just out of range. A big left from James misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hawk scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hawk staying out of range there. Hawk slips under a jab from James. James is breathing heavily. Hawk waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract James. James thows a left - swing and a miss! Hawk tries to clinch up. James misses with a series of wild punches.
Kristobel James is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hawk moves away from the strike by James. James ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Jab, jab by James - just one landing. Hawk misses with a double jab.
James thows a left - swing and a miss! Hawk throws out a loose jab but James uses good head movement to avoid it. James throws a jab but it's blocked by Hawk. Hawk throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hawk moves into the clinch. James trying to control the position but instead, Hawk has worked for underhooks and has pushed James into the cage. Hawk is trying to break the clinch but James has him pressed against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kristobel James will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
James throws a leg kick but Hawk sees it coming and checks it nicely. Hawk thuds his right hand into James's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Hawk misses with a combination
and James counters with a one-two to the body. Hawk misses with a straight right. Hawk throws a sloppy body shot
enabling James to counter with a crisp jab. Hawk closes the distance and clinches. A quick uppercut on the inside from Hawk. James is trying to break the clinch but Hawk has him pressed against the cage. Hawk manages to break the clinch.
A big left from James misses. A big right from James misses. Hawk misses with a double jab.
Oooh a lovely combination from Hawk sends James down but not out. Hawk dives into side control looking to finish. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hawk controls the position. James is not content to let Hawk control the position. Hawk lands a few punches from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawk fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Hawk landing a few strikes. Hawk misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Hawk wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by James, who protects the arm well. Hawk wants to lay and pray for a moment but James keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. James is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hawk has just dragged him back down to the mat. Hawk misses with the ground and pound. Hawk postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Hawk in side control, throwing shots but James defends. Hawk trying to control the action but James is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hawk throws the left hand but James avoids the punch easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawk takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Hawk scores with a crisp jab that stopped James in his tracks. James cracks Hawk with a good jab. A jab from James finds it's way through Hawk's defenses. James thows a body shot but no joy. James dodges the punch combination from Hawk.
Hawk pushes James up against the cage in a clinch. Hawk wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Hawk keeps control of James as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Hawk tries to score a body lock takedown but James shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Hawk goes for a takedown in the clinch but James prevents it.
Hawk tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. James wants to break the clinch but can't.
James breaks from the clinch.
Hawk takes one to the chin there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hawk looks to land a left hand but James moved out of range nicely. James takes a jab right on the kisser.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hawk misses with a straight right. Hawk ducks under a wild hook from James. James lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. James lands a jab to the head.
Hawk is breathing heavily. James takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Hawk checks the leg kick nicely there.
James is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Hawk. James misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hawk.
Hawk has closed the distance and engaged James in a clinch.
Hawk will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning James up against the cage. Hawk stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! James has Hawk pressed against the cage, preventing Hawk from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Hawk can't get the takedown.
Kristobel James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lincoln Hawk. Hawk manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Kristobel James will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
James fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hawk is out of range. James lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. James connects with a body shot. Hawk steps to the side to avoid the strikes from James. James walks into a left hand. Hawk slips under a jab from James. Hawk lands with a hook. James tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. No luck for Hawk with that takedown attempt. James tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. James cracks Hawk with a right hand to the side of the head. Hawk moves out of range as James strikes. A left lands for Hawk. Nice uppercut there from James. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! James has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hawk finds it's way round the side to connect with James's head. Kristobel James is winning the standup battle so far. Hawk closes the distance and pushes James back into the cage. Stalling in the clinch from James.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hawk's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. The fight stays on the outside here - Hawk looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hawk gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
That's one minute gone in the round. James lands with a right hand. Lincoln Hawk is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. James looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Hawk shoots for a takedown but James saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Hawk slips under a jab. James looks to land a right hand but Hawk moved out of range. Hawk throws an uppercut from half a mile away. James sees it coming and avoids it easily. Donk. James catches Hawk right on the button with a cross. Hawk keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from James. Hawk misses with a jab, cross combination.
James ducks under a wild hook from Hawk. Hawk pushing out the jab but it's not landing. James throws a series of punches but Hawk avoids them all with ease. Hawk doesn't manage to clinch there - James circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawk tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hawk has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Hawk is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but James is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Lincoln Hawk has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hawk in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. You can see the frustration on James's face as Hawk controls the position. The strikes coming from Hawk are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Hawk tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. James is trying to control Hawk's posture but Hawk avoids it. Kristobel James is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hawk is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but James is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Lincoln Hawk. I think James has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
