Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sylvester Hoodoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Tavarin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tavarin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hoodoo pinned against the cage. Hoodoo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A left and a right from Hoodoo both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Roy Tavarin has been cut.
Hoodoo connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tavarin momentarily.
Tavarin scores with a leg kick.
Hoodoo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Hoodoo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tavarin circles away quickly and effectively.
Hoodoo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tavarin is fending him off so far but Hoodoo persists. Nope, Tavarin circles away and we're back to standing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
