1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, king kong! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marcus Lewis! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! kong fails with a takedown attempt from distance. kong looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Lewis shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lewis wants to control but kong is keeping him busy. kong knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lewis on the ground. Lewis is sneakily working for an arm triangle but kong sees it coming and defends easily. Lewis looks gassed! kong is trying to maintain the position but Lewis is very close to passing his half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. kong tries to get to full guard but Lewis has control of the leg. Lewis stops kong from getting back to his feet.
