Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kamaneto Funaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edgar comes to the cage accompanied by Rick Ross- The Boss. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edgar pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Edgar tries to close the distance and clinch but Funaki swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Funaki misses with a takedown attempt - Edgar sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Funaki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Edgar swivels though and keeps the full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Edgar lets loose with a powerful body kick. Funaki will feel that in the morning.

Funaki looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Funaki changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Edgar looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Funaki wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Edgar, who protects the arm well.
Edgar tries to bench press Funaki off him but Funaki keeps the position.
Edgar is working hard here to advance position.
Edgar really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Funaki remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Edgar is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Funaki is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Edgar has escaped the position, nice work there.

Funaki drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Funaki as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Edgar screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Funaki! Nice submission victory there!
