Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between rolf rolfson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiq Hasu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). rolf rolfson looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, rolf rolfson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hiq Hasu! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hasu feints and as rolfson raises his hands in defense, Hasu changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. rolfson looking to control.
Hasu works over rolfson with some ground and pound from guard. rolfson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hasu trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hasu throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as rolfson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hasu postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. rolfson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. rolfson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hasu's guard. Hasu manages to escape and get back to his feet.
rolfson is breathing heavily. rolfson gets caught flat footed, as Hasu shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Hasu lands a couple of decent looking shots. Hasu working some strikes from top position. Hasu keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of rolfson's head. rolfson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. rolfson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hasu throwing strikes but missing. Hasu throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Hasu content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Hasu postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. rolfson trying to keep a closed guard but Hasu is proving a slippery customer.
Hasu throws a strike but rolfson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Hasu pushes rolfson off and scrambles back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. rolfson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hasu can do anything to dispel that myth. Hasu is not content to let rolfson control the position. Hasu is looking to work his way out of this bad position but rolfson is controlling him well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. rolfson in side control, just content to control the action for now. rolfson trying to control the action but Hasu is working from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Hasu tries for a takedown but rolfson circles away easily and rolfson counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hasu is lucky that one didn't land flush. rolfson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hasu swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hasu shoots and misses and rolfson counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hasu is lucky that one didn't land flush. Hasu bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Hasu scores with a couple of short elbows.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hasu lands a decent elbow from side control. Hasu in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. rolfson struggling a bit here. Hasu tries to move into full mount but can't pass rolfson's legs. rolfson taking punishment in the form of punches.

rolfson avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Hasu. rolfson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hiq Hasu dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hasu closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Hasu lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hasu connects with a nice short shot to rolfson's temple. Ground and pound from Hasu. Hasu lands with a punch from half guard. rolfson is trying to maintain the position but Hasu is very close to passing his half guard. rolfson taking some punishment here, with Hasu in his half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hasu throwing shots but rolfson is blocking nicely. Hasu is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Hasu slips a nice elbow through rolfson's hands, connecting with rolfson's forehead.
That's one minute gone in the round. rolfson wants to improve his position but Hasu is controlling well.
Hasu working rolfson over with strikes. Hasu looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks rolfson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. rolfson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hasu scores with a couple of nice shots. Hasu thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Hasu throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hasu missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Hasu working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on rolfson's thigh. rolfson counters though and makes it back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. rolfson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hasu. rolfson pushes Hasu off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Hasu misses with a takedown and rolfson counters with a shoot takedown. Hasu fights it but they end up in guard. rolfson prevents Hasu from getting back to his feet. rolfson trying to control but Hasu is working from the bottom. Hasu is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst rolfson is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hasu uses the cage to get back to his feet.
rolfson shoots in and bounces Hasu off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. rolfson prevents Hasu from getting back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. rolfson trying to control but Hasu is working from the bottom. Hasu wants to stand up but rolfson is controlling him. rolfson wants to control from the top but Hasu keeps moving. rolfson stops Hasu from standing up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. rolfson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - rolfson lands in his opponent's guard. Hasu is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst rolfson is controlling him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that rolf rolfson will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Hasu misses with a takedown attempt and rolfson counters with a single leg into guard. Hasu didn't expect that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. rolfson won't allow Hasu to get back to his feet. rolfson trying to control the position from guard on top but Hasu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hasu is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and rolfson dives into side control.
Hasu pushes rolfson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, rolfson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Hasu is looking to get back to his feet here but rolfson is keeping cool and he's managed to take Hasu's back. Hasu holding both rolfson 's hands and preventing any damage. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. rolfson trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Hasu is trying to get back to his feet but rolfson has full control of the position and if anything, Hasu has just worked his way into a worse spot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hasu manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position. Hasu tries for a takedown but rolfson circles away easily and rolfson moves into the clinch. rolfson has had enough of the clinch but Hasu keeps him there for the moment. Hasu is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. rolfson can't fight it off and eventually Hasu manages to take the fight to the floor. rolfson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hasu must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hasu lands a couple of elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. rolfson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hasu is one step ahead there. rolfson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hasu defends it easily. rolfson has momentary wrist control but Hasu slips an elbow through the middle. Hasu postures up in rolfson's guard and throws a big left but rolfson blocks it. Hasu postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hasu trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. rolfson has his feet on Hasu's thighs here. He's pushed Hasu off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Hasu screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
