The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bermudez shoots in but no luck this time.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bermudez is defended easily by Jones.
Jones is looking to clinch.
Jones tries to clinch up.
Jones looks to land a body kick but Bermudez moved away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bermudez.
Arturo Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Bermudez.

Jones gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bermudez to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Bermudez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jones looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Bermudez in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Bermudez escapes and throws Jones's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Jones is trying to control Bermudez's posture but Bermudez avoids it.

Bermudez has hold of Jones's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Jones seems comfortable defending it but Bermudez has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Jones is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Jones is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Bermudez couldn't care less - he's delighted!
