Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Victor Mike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vesa Nieminen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nieminen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Pantera - Walk. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnem�ki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mike shoots in for a takedown but Nieminen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Nieminen lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Victor Mike has been cut.
Nieminen is looking to clinch.
Nieminen clinches up with Mike and pushes him back against the cage.
Mike could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nieminen throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

I looks like Nieminen might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Let's hope that Nieminen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mike knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nieminen on the ground.
Despite being in the dominant position, Vesa Nieminen just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nieminen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mike moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Nieminen slaps away a takedown attempt from Mike, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Mike throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nieminen was covering up waiting for the punch and Mike finishes the takedown easily into guard.

and Nieminen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nieminen tries to bum rush Mike with a series of wild strikes but Mike uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mike is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Nieminen's half guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Mike fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nieminen sprawls well initially but Mike persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Mike wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nieminen keeps working.

Mike is stalling here. Nieminen is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Mike seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Nieminen has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Mike has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Mike slips a jab and a cross from Nieminen.
Nieminen fails to land with a series of punches.
Nieminen stalks Mike and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mike's face. Mike staggers backwards, shaken.
Nieminen tries to close the distance and clinch but Mike swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Mike stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nieminen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Nieminen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mike looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Mike shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nieminen's guard.

Vesa Nieminen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Nieminen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
