Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jim Daniels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Karl Katze!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katze doesn't manage to clinch there - Daniels circles away.
Daniels tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Daniels throws a head kick that looked like it stung.


It looks like Karl Katze has been cut.
Daniels tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Katze was well out of range. Poor timing from Daniels.
Daniels lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Daniels avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Daniels keeps the fight on the outside.
Daniels throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Katze shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Daniels sprawls well. Daniels wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Katze gets slowly back to his feet.
Katze moves in looking to clinch but Daniels pushes him off.
Katze closes this distance looking for a takedown but Daniels circles away.
Katze tries to close the distance and clinch but Daniels swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Daniels looks to land a left hand but Katze moved out of range nicely.
Karl Katze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Daniels scores with a jab. Katze acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Katze doesn't manage to clinch there - Daniels circles away.

Katze moves into the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Daniels lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Daniels presses Katze against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Katze just leaning against Daniels, taking a breather.

Daniels breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Katze wants to clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Katze.
Jim Daniels has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karl Katze.
Katze doesn't manage to clinch there - Daniels circles away.
Katze looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Daniels is fending him off so far but Katze persists. Nope, Daniels circles away and we're back to standing.
A solid leg kick lands there for Daniels.

Katze tries to keep at a distance but Daniels has taken the fight into the clinch.
Daniels scores with a shoulder strike.
Daniels softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.

Daniels pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Katze tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Daniels counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Daniels. Katze does a little dance to reset his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Katze closes the distance but Daniels moves to the side
and Daniels counters with a nice body shot.
Katze looks gassed!
Katze closes the distance looking to clinch
and Daniels counters with a good low kick that Katze was not able to check.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Daniels lands a body shot.
Daniels connects with a right hand. Katze shakes it off.

Daniels moves into the clinch successfully.
Daniels misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Katze.

Daniels breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Daniels misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Daniels cracks Katze with a right hand to the side of the head.
Jim Daniels is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Daniels lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Katze circles away quickly and effectively.
Daniels lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Katze tries to clinch but Daniels moves away
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Daniels lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Daniels.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Katze avoids the head kick by Daniels.
Daniels misses with a two punch combination.
Daniels throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Daniels swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Katze tries to clinch but Daniels moves away
and Daniels counters with a nice body shot.

Daniels closes the distance and clinches.
Katze stalling in the clinch but Daniels improves position.
Katze misses with some punches.

Daniels breaks from the clinch.
Daniels throws a right and a left that Katze avoids nicely.
Katze has his takedown stuffed

and Daniels counters by moving into the clinch.
Daniels scores with a shoulder strike.
Daniels lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Daniels is pushing Katze up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Daniels just misses with a elbow thrown towards Katze's brow.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Daniels works on Katze's body with a couple of short punches.
Daniels lands with a left to the head.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Katze misses with a short punch on the inside.
Katze is trying desperately to land a takedown but Daniels is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Katze.

Daniels manages to break the clinch.
Katze wants to clinch but Daniels slips to the side
and Daniels counters with an inside leg kick.
Katze darts in trying to clinch
letting Daniels counter with a right hand.


That has opened up Karl Katze's cut even more.
Daniels dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Katze. That did some damage!
Katze closes the distance looking to clinch
and Daniels counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Katze has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Katze there as he acknowledges the shot.
Daniels scores with a crisp jab that stopped Katze in his tracks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jim Daniels dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Karl Katze's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

A nice inside leg kick there by Daniels. That's going to slow Katze down.
Katze looks to clinch
and Daniels counters with a slapping leg kick.

Katze fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Daniels, pushing him back against the cage.

Daniels pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Katze takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Katze has his takedown stuffed
and Daniels counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Katze tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Daniels counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Katze tries to clinch
and Daniels counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.


Katze is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Katze with a poor takedown
and Daniels counters with a leg kick.
Katze is still on wobbly legs! Can Daniels finish him?
Daniels lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Katze at a distance.
Katze seems to have recovered his senses.
Katze is breathing heavily.
Daniels connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Katze tumbling to the canvas! Daniels pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Katze was done - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jim Daniels!
