The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alizad misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Alizad drops his hands momentarily and Gomez takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
It looks like Arman Alizad has been cut.
Gomez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Alizad sprawls well. Alizad wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gomez gets slowly back to his feet.

Alizad throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Gomez shoots in and bounces Alizad off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Alizad is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Alizad decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gomez, up you get!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Gomez is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Alizad is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Alizad has escaped and now he's on top!

Alizad has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Gomez to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Alizad is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Gomez pulls down on the head and he's put Alizad to sleep! This one is all over!
