Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cris Paul! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Klas Klettermus! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paul fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nice takedown defense from Klettermus. No joy for Paul on that attempt. Klettermus closes the distance and clinches. Paul has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Klettermus is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cris Paul. That's going to take a lot out of him. Paul tries for a takedown but Klettermus manages to get underhooks.
Paul has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Klettermus avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A short left from Klettermus. Klettermus lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Klettermus breaks the clinch.
Paul closes this distance looking for a takedown but Klettermus circles away. Paul fails with the takedown. Klettermus misses with a few strikes there.
Klettermus tries to clinch up but Paul circles away and keeps his distance. Cris Paul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Klettermus defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Paul. Paul fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Paul is breathing heavily. Klettermus throws a series of punches but Paul avoids them all with ease. Klettermus slaps away a takedown attempt from Paul, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Klettermus leaves Paul with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Klettermus throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Paul. Paul slips a jab and a cross from Klettermus.
Klettermus misses with a takedown attempt - Paul sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Klettermus misses with a double jab.

Klettermus is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Klettermus tries to clinch up. Klettermus fails with the takedown and Paul counters with a nice double leg into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Klettermus manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Klettermus lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Klettermus wants to control the pace but Paul is squirming around nicely. Klettermus might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Paul kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Klettermus looking to isolate an arm here. Paul doesn't see it coming and as Klettermus extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Klettermus!
