Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Suarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Xavier Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Suarez! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suarez instigates a clinch. Smith working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Smith gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Suarez tries to roll over but Smith keeps him under control. Smith drops an elbow to the side of Suarez's head. Smith is looking for a kimura here.
Suarez wants to get back to full guard. Smith passes the guard and advances to mount! Smith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Suarez is wriggling around trying to escape.
Smith looking to control but Suarez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Suarez is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Suarez has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Suarez tries to get back to half guard but can't. Suarez tries to hold on but Smith pushes him away. Smith cracks Suarez with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Suarez tries to get back to half guard but can't. Suarez slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Smith has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Smith is looking for a kimura but Suarez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Smith to get the leverage. Suarez looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Smith is working for a kimura but Suarez is defending it quite comfortably.
Suarez looks gassed! Smith is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Suarez is in trouble now - Smith has advanced to mount!

Suarez is rocked! Suarez regains half guard. Smith throws a strike but Suarez avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Smith is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Suarez is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Suarez has escaped and now he's on top! Smith working for a triangle but Suarez defends it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Smith tries to land a sweep but no joy. Smith is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Suarez is defending against the submission attempts here by Smith.
Smith passes the guard and advances to mount! Smith controlling the position easily from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smith connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Suarez is still in real trouble! Can Smith finish him?
It looks like David Suarez has been cut. Smith lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That has opened up David Suarez's cut even more. Smith is landing with some decent strikes but Suarez is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
David Suarez's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at David Suarez's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
