Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aldo Parise!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aron Moraes!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moraes closes the distance and clinches up with Parise, looking for a takedown. Moraes pushes Parise against the cage but Parise circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Moraes fails with an attempt to clinch.
Parise misses with a takedown attempt
and Moraes counters with a series of strikes. Parise will be more careful next time no doubt.
Parise has his takedown stuffed
so Moraes counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Parise is rocked!
Moraes stands and steps away. Parise gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Parise with a poor takedown
and Moraes counters with a one-two to the body.
Oh Parise is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aldo Parise. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Parise is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Parise doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Moraes shoots in, scooping Parise off his feet. Moraes is holding his opponent over his shoulder. He slams Parise to the mat and Parise is in big trouble! Moraes is landing strikes to his unconscious foe and the ref dives in to end the fight! Moraes is celebrating with his corner and rightfully so.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Aron Moraes!
