And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Thiago Cunha and Felipe Paraventi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Augusto tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Silva was well out of range. Poor timing from Augusto.
Silva wants to clinch up but Augusto keeps it at a distance.
Augusto misses with a series of wild punches.

Silva closes the distance and pushes Augusto back into the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Augusto's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Silva pulls guard effortlessly.
Augusto has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Silva is trying to keep Augusto in close.

Silva isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Augusto stacks Silva on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Augusto!
Augusto wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Augusto kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Silva is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Augusto has just dragged him back down to the mat.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Augusto scores with a hook to the body. Silva takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

It looks like Alonso Silva has been cut.
Silva looks gassed!
Augusto cracks Silva with a good jab.

Silva tries for a takedown but Augusto sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Augusto misses with a hook. Silva ducked under it nicely.
Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Augusto's waist but Augusto gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.
Augusto drops Silva with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Silva! Augusto dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
