Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack El Capitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Odd Ivarov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Odd Ivarov will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack El Capitan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Odd Ivarov! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! El Capitan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ivarov misses with a two punch combination.
Ivarov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
El Capitan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ivarov was well out of range. Poor timing from El Capitan. El Capitan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. El Capitan lands a couple of digs. Ivarov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in El Capitan's guard. El Capitan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Ivarov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ivarov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ivarov throwing strikes but missing. Ivarov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ivarov looking to pass the guard. El Capitan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ivarov. Ivarov trying to control the position from guard on top but El Capitan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ivarov has gone for a leg lock! El Capitan slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ivarov's guard. Ivarov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. El Capitan is aware though and is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. El Capitan scores with a decent looking elbow strike. El Capitan postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Ivarov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. El Capitan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. El Capitan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. El Capitan has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Ivarov tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ivarov looks gassed! El Capitan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ivarov can do anything to dispel that myth. Ivarov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. El Capitan slips nicely into half guard. El Capitan wants to free his trapped foot but Ivarov is holding on for dear life with his legs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. El Capitan stops Ivarov from getting back to his feet.
El Capitan lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Ivarov controlling the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ivarov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of El Capitan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take El Capitan's back! Ivarov is hanging on to El Capitan's back as he tries to escape.
Ivarov is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but El Capitan has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Ivarov looking for the RNC. El Capitan manages to reverse the position and now he's in Ivarov's guard. Nice work there by El Capitan.

El Capitan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ivarov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. El Capitanis looking to pass into half guard but Ivarov pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Ivarov is in guard. Ivarov drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but El Capitan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ivarov has El Capitan in his guard. Ivarov wants to sweep but no luck. Ivarov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but El Capitan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ivarov has momentary wrist control but El Capitan slips an elbow through the middle. El Capitan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ivarov on the ground. El Capitan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. El Capitan is looking to work some ground and pound but Ivarov has wrist control. Ivarov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. El Capitan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. El Capitan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. El Capitan thows a big elbow that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells El Capitan's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Ivarov is trying to keep El Capitan in close.
El Capitan cracks Ivarov with a solid left hand. El Capitan is in close to Ivarov's body, working some short punches and elbows. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as El Capitan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. El Capitan stopping the sweep attempt from Ivarov. Ivarov throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
El Capitan working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack El Capitan dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Ivarov misses with a wild body shot. Ivarov scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. El Capitan is defending against the submission attempts here by Ivarov.
El Capitan avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ivarov. El Capitan wants to get back to full guard. Ivarov has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. El Capitan avoids a series of strikes thrown by Ivarov.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. El Capitan is in all sorts of trouble here.
Ivarov is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. El Capitan can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's one minute gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ivarov cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Poor strikes thrown by Ivarov there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Ivarov looking for a guillotine from mount but El Capitan is having none of it. El Capitan tries to hold on but Ivarov pushes him away. Ivarov is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but El Capitan is surviving well by controlling Ivarov's body position as best he can. El Capitan wants to hold on but Ivarov pushes him away. El Capitan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ivarov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Ivarov jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… El Capitan is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by El Capitan and Ivarov has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
El Capitan is not content to let Ivarov control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ivarov is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. El Capitan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. El Capitan sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. El Capitan is looking to improve his position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Ivarov misses with a looping right. Ivarov missing with a left hand there. El Capitan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Ivarov misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ivarov throws a nice looking combination but El Capitan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Ivarov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
El Capitan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ivarov sprawls well initially but El Capitan persists and gets the takedown into half guard. El Capitan sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ivarov defending well though. El Capitan working Ivarov over with strikes. Ivarov pushes El Capitan off looking to stand but El Capitan dives back in and keeps control.

El Capitan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ivarov knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Jack El Capitan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The fighters are battling for position here. Ivarov manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Ivarov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. El Capitan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. El Capitan is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. El Capitan works over Ivarov with some ground and pound from guard. El Capitan is sitting in close to Ivarov's body. Ivarov has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! El Capitan is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, El Capitan is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Ivarov.
