Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eddie The Rain Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaston Souffrant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Souffrant comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Darude - Sandstorm kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Rain Man looks for a takedown but Souffrant sprawls well.
Souffrant doesn't succeed with the takedown
so The Rain Man counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Souffrant isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. The Rain Man stacks Souffrant on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by The Rain Man!
Souffrant tries to improve position but can't.
The Rain Man has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Souffrant is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. The Rain Man yanks on the arm and Souffrant is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by The Rain Man.
