The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Askam fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Askam shoots in for a double leg but Dixon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Dixon leaves Askam with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Dixon throws a hook but Askam blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Askam shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dixon but Dixon pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Askam changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dixon tries to avoid it but Askam manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dixon to the ground. Dixon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Dixon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dixon wants it to stay on the feet.

Askam gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dixon to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Dixon passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Dixon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Dixon has hold of Askam's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Askam tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Dixon cranks the arm and Askam screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Askam, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
