Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Giovanni Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Cote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rodriguez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Comprendes Mendez. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Giovanni Rodriguez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Patrick Cote!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cote shoots in looking for a takedown. Rodriguez tries to sprawl out of it but Cote keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rodriguez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rodriguez looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Cote shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rodriguez sprawls well. Rodriguez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cote gets slowly back to his feet.
Cote is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Cote gets to his feet. Rodriguez looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Patrick Cote showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

I would just about give that final round to Patrick Cote.
Well Cote has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
