Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tron Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Paelinck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Angry Tronny. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tron Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Samuel Paelinck! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paelinck shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Paelinck's guard. Jones trying to control but Paelinck is working from the bottom. Paelinck utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Paelinck trying to keep a closed guard but Jones is proving a slippery customer.
Jones drops back, looking for a kneebar! Paelinck looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Paelinck looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Paelinck! Jones tries to escape but Paelinck is in control. Paelinck stands up and we're back to a striking position. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Paelinck throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jones. Paelinck gets in close and instigates a clinch. Paelinck breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jones avoids the head kick by Paelinck.
Jones tries to clinch and Paelinck counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jones won't be happy with that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Paelinck has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jones is working away from the top position though. Jones is keen to just control but Paelinck is a slippery customer. Jones prevents Paelinck from standing back up.
Jones is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Jones is breathing heavily. Jones is looking to advance position but Paelinck won't allow it. Jones is looking for a kimura but Paelinck is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jones to get the leverage. Paelinck wants to get back to full guard. Paelinck really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Paelinck is trying to stand.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Paelinck instigates a clinch. Jones avoiding damage as Paelinck throws knees to the body.
Paelinck lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Paelinck has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Paelinck connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Jones is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Jones gets back to half guard. Jones regains full guard. Nicely done. Jones working a defensive guard here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is pushing down on Paelinck's leg trying to pass to half guard. Paelinck is fighting to maintain full guard but Jones has managed to sneak the leg through. Jones throwing shots but Paelinck is blocking nicely. Jones is working for a submission of some sort.
Jones trying to control the action but Paelinck is working from the bottom. Jones works his way into side control. Paelinck defending against the ground and pound. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Paelinck is pushing Jones's head away, looking to escape. Jones manages to hold on to the position though. Jones is looking to take a break and control but Paelinck is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jones passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Paelinck!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Paelinck really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Jones stands up from mount. Strange move. Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Paelinck keeps the fight on the outside. A nice combination there by Paelinck.
Paelinck pushes Jones up against the ropes in a clinch. Paelinck gets a trip takedown into half guard. Jones moves into full guard.
Paelinck wants to stand but Jones has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Paelinck doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Paelinck manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jones manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Jones swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Paelinck is now in Jones's guard. A big mistake from Jones there, giving up the dominant position! Jones is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Jones throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Paelinck throws a big right hand that misses. Paelinck pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jones is keeping the position for now. Jones has his foot on Paelinck's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Paelinck works his way back into a safe position though. Jones keeping full guard, as Paelinck tries to pass. Paelinck wants to stand but Jones has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Paelinck must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Paelinck gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Paelinck will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Paelinck gets a clinch. Paelinck escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The fight moves into the clinch position. Paelinck slows down the pace here.
Paelinck has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Jones is trying to keep an underhook but Paelinck manages to get the takedown into half guard. Jones moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Jones is wriggling around but Paelinck manages to pass to half guard.

That's eight minutes gone in the round. Jones works his way to full guard. Good work. Paelinck is sitting in close to Jones's body. Jones has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Paelinck is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Paelinck is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Jones.
