Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Malik Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arthur Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Maximus's guard.
Maximus being controlled here, momentarily.
Howard wants to pass the guard but Maximus is keeping the position.
Maximus controls Howard momentarily but Howard frees himself.
Maximus should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Howard changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Maximus looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

and Howard counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

and Howard decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Maximus's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Howard drops back looking for a leg! Maximus is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Maximus manages to kick Howard off! Howard jumps back into Maximus's guard.

Horrible takedown by Howard or perhaps it was just good defense by Maximus which made him look bad.

Maximus tries to lock up and control but Howard gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Maximus is bucking up trying to escape but Howard cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
