Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Glenn Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Banks is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Saul Williams-Black Stacey. Glenn Edwards has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Glenn Edwards! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andre Banks! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Edwards tries to clinch up. Edwards fails in his attempt to clinch. Banks is trying hard to land a takedown here. Edwards sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Banks avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Edwards tries to clinch up but Banks circles away and keeps his distance. Banks shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Edwards but Edwards pushes him off and we're back to square one. Banks getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Banks circles away from the clinch attempt.
Edwards swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Banks shoots in but no luck this time. Glenn Edwards has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Banks. Edwards tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Banks tries to move into range but Edwards moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Banks misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Edwards throws the kick towards the body but Banks avoids it. Edwards gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Banks wants to control from the top but Edwards keeps moving. That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Banks drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Edwards manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Banks has Edwards in his guard. Banks bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Edwards's guard. Banks throws a strike but Edwards rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Banks looking to hit a scissor sweep but Edwards is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edwards throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Banks controlling Edwards's posture. Edwards is looking to stand up but Banks won't let him. Banks wants to sweep here but Edwards controlling him for the moment. Banks bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Edwards's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Edwards keeping moving, preventing Banks from controlling successfully. Edwards trying to control the position.

A jab lands there for Edwards. Edwards tries to close the distance and clinch but Banks swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A jab from Edwards misses. Edwards fails to land with a series of punches.
Banks looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Edwards! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Banks swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Edwards is now in Banks's guard. A big mistake from Banks there, giving up the dominant position! There's a bit of a scramble here and now Banks is on top in guard.
Banks has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Edwards is proving hard to escape from.
That's one minute gone in the round. Banks looking to pass the guard. Banks wants to control from the top but Edwards keeps moving. Banks is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Banks is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Banks wants to pass the guard but Edwards is keeping the position. Banks passes Edwards's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edwards wants to get back to full guard. Banks looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Banks seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Edwards does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Banks tries to pass to full mount but Edwards defends it. Edwards tries to get to full guard but Banks has control of the leg. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Edwards throws a head kick that misses. Banks changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Edwards tries to avoid it but Banks manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Edwards to the ground. Edwards escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andre Banks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Banks shoots for a double leg takedown but Edwards sprawls well. He's pushed Banks's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Edwards looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Edwards tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Banks closes the distance and clinches up with Edwards, looking for a takedown. Banks pushes Edwards against the cage but Edwards circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Edwards is looking to clinch. Edwards tries a head kick but it misses.
