Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Happy Tom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rogers comes to the cage accompanied by American Badass by Kid Rock. Tom has chosen Turbonegro - Wasted Again as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Rogers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Happy Tom! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tom avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Rogers throws a leg kick that misses. Tom shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rogers defends it nicely. Rogers misses with a low kick.
Tom on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Tom throws a lazy right hand but Rogers sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Rogers avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Rogers darts in and clinches Tom up against the cage. Rogers trying to land knees to the body.
Tom connects with a nasty looking knee right to Rogers's face.
Come on Rogers - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Rogers tries a knee to the head but Tom blocks it.
Tom throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. A short right from Tom. Rogers breaks the clinch.
Tom misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tom digs a good hook to Rogers's body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tom tries a head kick but it misses.
Tom cracks a nice hook into Rogers's ribs. Tom throws a head kick that misses. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tom. Tom throws a left that rocks Rogers and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Tom dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Rogers regain composure!
Rogers is rocked! Rogers tries to improve position but can't. Oh Rogers is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! You can see the frustration on Rogers's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Tom is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rogers knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Rogers is looking to regain half guard here but Tom keeps moving and retains side control. Rogers seems to have got his legs back now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rogers can't do much from the bottom here. Rogers gets back to half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tom is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rogers has managed to free his arm - good work. Tom wants to pass to mount but Rogers is defending the position. Rogers tries to roll over but Tom keeps him under control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tom is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rogers wants to improve his position but Tom is controlling well.
Tom is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Tom is pressing down on Rogers's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rogers is holding on for now.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Tom wants to work for an arm triangle but Rogers is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Rogers stuffs the takedown attempt from Tom. Tom gets slowly back to his feet. Steve Rogers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Happy Tom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Tom misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tom is defended easily by Rogers. Tom looks gassed! Tom throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tom rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rogers moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Tom tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Rogers lands a body shot.
Rogers closes the distance and clinches. Rogers breaks from the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rogers scores with a leg kick.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Happy Tom dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Tom stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rogers. Tom dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Rogers, right into the meat.
Rogers lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Tom connects with a body shot. Tom throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Rogers. Rogers closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Rogers tries to stall but Tom uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Rogers breaks the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tom chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rogers can pounce on him.

Tom is breathing heavily. Rogers wants to slow Tom down by chopping away at his legs. Tom on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. A clash of legs there as Tom blocks the low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tom closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Rogers cracks the inside of Tom's front leg. Rogers connects with a solid leg kick. Rogers lands a front kick. Rogers scores with a punch to the head. Tom checks the leg kick nicely there.

Happy Tom is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Tom misses with a wild combination.
Rogers lands with a thumping leg kick.
Rogers clinches up with Tom and pushes him back against the cage. Rogers wants to break free but Tom has control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Rogers. Rogers with a knee to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action! Rogers misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Tom.
Rogers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Tom fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Rogers, right into the meat.
Steve Rogers is winning the standup battle so far. A bone on bone clash there as Tom blocks the leg kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Rogers. That's going to slow Tom down. Rogers has closed the distance and engaged Tom in a clinch.
Rogers escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A jab from Tom misses. Tom throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Rogers lands a jab. Tom misses with a low kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tom throws the left hand but Rogers avoids the punch easily. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tom crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rogers - the referee stops the clock and Tom gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rogers. Tom manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Tom goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Rogers throws a nice inside leg kick. Rogers is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Rogers scoring well with a low kick there.
Rogers moves out of range of the strikes. A head kick misses from Tom. Rogers moves in looking to clinch but Tom pushes him off. Steve Rogers is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rogers chopping away at his opponent's legs.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rogers wants to clinch. Happy Tom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tom tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Rogers avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Tom misses with a jab, cross combination.
Tom throws a sloppy head kick and Rogers moves out of range easily. Rogers throws a nice outside leg kick. Rogers closes the distance and clinches. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rogers is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Rogers breaks the clinch.

Steve Rogers dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Rogers plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Rogers works Tom's body with a nice hook. Tom takes a kick to the side of the head. Tom takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Tom takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Rogers throws a nice outside leg kick. Rogers throws a nice outside leg kick. Tom throws a head kick that misses and Rogers counters with an inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Good leg kick by Rogers there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Nice elbow from Rogers.
It looks like Happy Tom has been cut. Tom's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Tom's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Rogers is looking to slow Tom down with leg kicks. Tom swings for the body but Rogers moves out of range.
Rogers misses with a head kick.
A combination from Tom does no damage. Rogers feints and then cracks Tom's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tom down. Tom throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tom takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Tom has his takedown stuffed and Tom takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Rogers throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tom on the side of the head. Rogers scores with a jab. Rogers walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Tom checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Tom shoots in for a takedown but Rogers shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Steve Rogers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Happy Tom. Rogers turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. The crowd cheers as Rogers lands an impressive looking overhand right. Tom doesn't seem phased though. Tom blocks a low kick nicely. Tom takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Rogers tried to score with a low kick but Tom checks it. Tom is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Rogers rather than just go for the knockout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A nice leg kick lands there from Rogers. The fight moves into the clinch position. A nice left hand lands by Rogers.
Rogers is trying to stall.
Rogers stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Tom has clasped his hands together around Rogers's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Tom tries to advance to mount but Rogers denies him. Tom trying to control the action but Rogers is working from the bottom. Tom is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rogers has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rogers is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Tom off and has taken his back! Tom manages to reverse the position and now he's in Rogers's guard. Nice work there by Tom.
Tom trying to control but Rogers is working from the bottom. Rogers keeping full guard, as Tom tries to pass. Rogers is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tom drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rogers manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tom has Rogers in his guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Steve Rogers showed his dominance in that final round. I think Rogers has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
