The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

gold shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Reed is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Reed tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Reed is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
gold sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
gold misses with an uppercut. Reed saw that one coming.
gold throws the left hand but Reed avoids the punch easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from gold. Reed does a little dance to reset his feet.
gold looks to land a right hand but Reed moved out of range.
Reed bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

No joy there for gold, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
