Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sampsa Pikari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Volkov's choice of entrance music: The Trooper by Iron Maiden. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sampsa Pikari! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Vincent Volkov! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Pikari. Volkov does a little dance to reset his feet. Volkov misses with a straight left. Volkov takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Pikari throws a lazy right hand but Volkov sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Pikari looks to throw the jab but Volkov is out of range. Pikari misses the shot to the body. Volkov moves away from the strike by Pikari. Volkov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pikari moves away. Pikari wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Volkov misses the body punch and Pikari counters with a takedown into side control. Pikari tries to move to mount but Volkov blocks the move with his legs. Volkov tries to buck Pikari off but Pikari is having none of it. Pikari scores with a couple of short elbows. Volkov is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Pikari throwing shots but Volkov is blocking nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Volkov moves into full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Volkov is on top in guard.
Volkov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pikari has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Volkov has managed to get both his arms back between Pikari's legs - danger averted. Pikari wants to sweep but no luck. Pikari manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Volkov manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Volkov seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Pikari looking to pass the guard. Volkov wants to sweep here but Pikari controlling him for the moment. Pikari stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Volkov swivels though and keeps the full guard. Pikari won't allow Volkov to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pikari chips away with some ground and pound. Pikari has gone for a leg lock! Volkov slips out almost immediately though and dives into Pikari's guard. Pikari wants to hit a switch here but Volkov passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Pikari there! Pikari has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Volkov wants to control the pace but Pikari is squirming around nicely. Volkov sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pikari is in a horrible position here. Volkov smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Volkov content just to control the position here. Pikari might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Pikari sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Volkov is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pikari bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Volkov misses with a series of wild punches.

Pikari dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Volkov jabs at Pikari's body. Volkov throws a looping overhand right but Pikari ducks down to avoid it. Volkov misses with a straight left. Volkov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pikari sees it coming and avoids it easily. Pikari throws a shot from downtown. Volkov moves away and avoids it. Pikari blocks a head kick by Volkov.

and Volkov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Volkov throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Volkov tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Volkov blocks a jab. Pikari throws out a loose jab but Volkov uses good head movement to avoid it. Volkov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A slow jab from Pikari misses its intended target. Volkov leaves Pikari with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Volkov gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Volkov manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Volkov controlling from mount. Pikari regains half guard. Volkov is trying to control the action in half guard but Pikari is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pikari wants to get back to full guard. Still in half guard, Volkov seems content to control. Pikari keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The fighters are battling for position here. Pikari manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Volkov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Volkov postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Pikari looking for a guillotine here but Volkov defends easily.
Volkov works over Pikari with some ground and pound from guard. Volkov is looking to stand up but Pikari won't let him. Volkov won't allow Pikari to sweep him here. Volkov passes easily into side control. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vincent Volkov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Pikari ducks under a wild hook from Volkov. Volkov throws an overhand right that lands on Pikari's shoulder, as Pikari tries to avoid the shot. Volkov throws the left hand but Pikari avoids the punch easily. Pikari uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Volkov.
Volkov looks to clinch and Pikari cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Pikari tries for a takedown but Volkov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Pikari checks a leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Volkov blocks a jab. Pikari uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Volkov. Volkov throws a hook but Pikari blocks it. Volkov tries to clinch but Pikari moves away and Pikari counters with a nice double leg into side control. Volkov won't be happy with that. Volkov is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pikari tries to score with some ground and pound. Volkov controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Pikari creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Pikari throwing shots but missing, from side control. Pikari is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Volkov has escaped the position, nice work there. Pikari goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Volkov has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Pikari but great work by Volkov. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Volkov is trying to get an arm triangle but Pikari is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Volkov taking a breather here. Volkov tries to move to mount but Pikari blocks the move with his legs. Pikari gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Volkov is controlling the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pikari is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Pikari wants to get back to full guard but Volkov has passed into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Pikari tries to get back to half guard but can't. Pikari is working hard here to advance position. Volkov throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Pikari tries to get back to half guard but can't. Volkov working the ground and pound effectively.
Volkov wants to control the pace but Pikari is squirming around nicely. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that's the end of the fight! Sampsa Pikari showed his dominance in that final round. I think Pikari has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
