Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alan Wren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Son Wukong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alan Wren! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Son Wukong! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wukong takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Wukong shoots in and bounces Wren off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Wren is looking for a triangle but Wukong pushes his legs off easily.
Wren looking for a guillotine here but Wukong defends easily.
Wukong trying to control but Wren is working from the bottom. Wren looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wukong postures up in Wren's guard and throws a big left but Wren blocks it. Wukong loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Wren looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wukong slips nicely into half guard. Ground and pound from Wukong. Ground and pound from Wukong. Wren keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Wukong is pressing down on Wren's thigh, looking to free his foot. Wren is holding on for now. Wren avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Wukong. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wukong looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Wren is trying to get back to full guard. Wukong throwing shots but Wren is blocking nicely. Wren tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Ground and pound from Wukong.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wren pushes Wukong off looking to stand but Wukong dives back in and keeps control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wukong throws out a leg kick but Wren moves out of range and Wukong only half commits. Wren throws a one two combo.

Wren connects with a single shot there. A big left from Wren misses. Wren fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wren looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Wren throws a right hand that Wukong ducks under and follows up with a left that Wukong also avoids with ease.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wren lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Wren misses with a jab, cross combination.
A punch combination from Wren misses. Wukong shoots in but Wren avoids the takedown attempt easily. Wukong gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Wren. Wukong blocks a jab. Wren feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Wukong is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Wren wants to control from the top but Wukong keeps moving. Wren has gone for a leg lock! Wukong slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wren's guard. Wren is breathing heavily. Wukong slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wukong is putting a hurting on Wren here, landing some big shots from side control. Wukong is working Wren over with some ground and pound from side control. Wren is looking to reverse the position. Wren is working hard here to advance position. Wukong is looking to take a break and control but Wren is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Wukong thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wukong working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Son Wukong dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Wukong will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Wren swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Wukong is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Wren. Wukong stuffs the takedown attempt from Wren. Wren gets slowly back to his feet. Oh, that's a big right hand from Wukong and Wren goes tumbling to the canvas! Wukong follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Wren is rocked!
It looks like Alan Wren has been cut. Wukong scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Oh Wren is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Wukong is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Wukong slips a nice elbow through Wren's hands, connecting with Wren's forehead. Wukong wants to take a breather but Wren is having none of it. Wren seems to have got his legs back now. Wren actively working from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wukong working the head and body with strikes. Wukong seems to be working for a kimura but Wren defends the submission attempt. Wukong is breathing heavily. Wren is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wukong's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wukong's back! Wukong tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Wukong regains half guard. Wren content to control rather than advance. Wren seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wukong does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wukong is looking for a sweep. Wren is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Wukong is refusing to be controlled, as Wren sits in half guard. Wukong looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Wren stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Wukong to get to his feet. Wren misses with a series of wild punches.
Wren throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Wukong stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Wren connects with a right hand. Wukong shakes it off. Wren misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Wren connects with a crisp jab. Wukong is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Wren scores a takedown into full mount! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wren controlling the pace for now. Wukong is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alan Wren dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Alan Wren's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Wukong checks a low kick from Wren. Alan Wren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wukong takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Wren throws out a powerful jab. Wren darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Wukong makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Wukong. Wren drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wren jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Wukong had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wren defends it easily. Wren is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wukong manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Wukong shoots for a double leg takedown but Wren sprawls well. He's pushed Wukong's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Wren fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wren scores with a hook to the body. Wukong takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wren slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Wren shoots in for a double leg but Wukong sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Wren throws a left and a right that both miss
and Wukong counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Son Wukong. I think Wukong has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
