Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Colin robin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Go Kashima! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kashima displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from robin. robin looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Kashima with a poor takedown and robin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by robin. robin avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

robin trying to control the position from guard on top but Kashima is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kashima working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. robin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. robin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kashima is trying to keep robin in close.

He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Kashima has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but robin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. robin not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Kashima isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. robin stacks Kashima on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by robin! Kashima gets back to half guard. robin takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. robin blocks the strikes from Kashima.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, robin cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Kashima is looking to improve his position but robin isn't that keen on the idea. robin is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kashima has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Go Kashima dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Kashima tries to clinch but robin is having none of it. robin misses with a low kick. Kashima connects with the punch. robin doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kashima counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for robin! Kashima scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish robin?

Kashima tries to control but robin wriggling away. robin is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Kashima has hold of robin's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and robin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Kashima keeping moving, preventing robin from controlling successfully. robin advances position into side control! robin working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. robin has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Kashima darts in and clinches robin up against the cage. Kashima ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kashima no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. That's four minutes gone in the round. robin gets to his feet - Kashima follows without any prompting. robin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kashima counters with a thumping low kick. Kashima delivers a nice body kick. Kashima misses with a takedown and robin counters by moving into the clinch. Kashima drags the fight down to the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Go Kashima showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Colin robin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. robin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Kashima is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kashima wants to sweep here but robin controlling him for the moment. Kashima looking for a guillotine here but robin defends easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. robin has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Kashima has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but robin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kashima being controlled here, momentarily. Kashima is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Kashima wants to control but robin is keeping him busy. robin is looking for a sweep. Kashima is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kashima looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kashima stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. robin swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kashima advances to half guard. Kashima missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. robin slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kashima trying to control the position from guard on top but robin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. robin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kashima is controlling him.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Colin robin. Well Kashima has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
