Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas O Malley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thomas O Malley! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Smith. O Malley is trying to control Smith's posture but Smith avoids it. Smith tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. O Malley bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Smith throws a right and a left that O Malley avoids nicely. Smith misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. O Malley stuffs the takedown. Smith drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Smith is breathing heavily. You can see the frustration on O Malley's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - O Malley has eaten all the pies!
That's one minute gone in the round. O Malley is letting Smith control him for a moment. O Malley is looking to regain half guard here but Smith keeps moving and retains side control. O Malley wants to control but Smith postures up. O Malley is not content to let Smith control the position. O Malley can't do much from the bottom here. Smith will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but O Malley moves out of range and avoids them all easily. O Malley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. O Malley looking to control and managing it successfully. Smith tries to hold on but O Malley postures up. O Malley working for a guillotine from mount but Smith is in no mood to give up. O Malley looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. O Malley controlling his opponent. O Malley avoids the attempt from Smith to control. O Malley sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. O Malley prevents Smith from getting the reversal. Smith tries to lock up and control but O Malley gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Smith is looking to get to half guard. Smith tries to hold on but O Malley postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smith wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by O Malley.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Thomas O Malley will probably get the nod. That's time! Smith's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Smith misses with a takedown and O Malley decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Smith's guard. Smith looking to control but O Malley passes into half guard.
O Malley tries to pass the half guard into mount. Smith knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. O Malley prevents Smith from improving his position. O Malley is figuring out what he wants to do next. O Malley is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Smith is trying to maintain the position but O Malley is very close to passing his half guard. Smith is trying to get back to full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith wants to control but O Malley passes into side.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Smith scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Smith thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed O Malley's head. Smith stalling away here and it's allowed O Malley to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Smith is stalling in the full guard. Smith stands up and waves to O Malley to follow him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith rushes O Malley and presses him up against the cage. O Malley ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. O Malley no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. O Malley pulls Smith in close to prevent any damage. O Malley not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that O Malley has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. O Malley swivels though and keeps the full guard. O Malley has control of Smith's left arm, preventing Smith from doing any damage. O Malley tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Smith postures up.
O Malley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Smith trying to control but O Malley is working from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Donk. Smith catches O Malley right on the button with a cross. Excellent takedown into side control there by O Malley. O Malley working away. Smith is looking for a sweep. O Malley controlling the position from side mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas O Malley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Smith doesn't succeed with the takedown and O Malley counters with a nice double leg into side control. Smith won't be happy with that. O Malley just content to control the position. O Malley trying to control the action but Smith is working from the bottom. Smith is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. O Malley takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Smith wants to control but O Malley is keeping busy.

That's one minute gone in the round. Smith is staying active underneath O Malley, who seems content to just control the action from this position. O Malley prevents Smith from improving his position. O Malley wants to stand but Smith has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Smith has his takedown stuffed and O Malley counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. O Malley looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Smith tries to roll over but O Malley keeps him under control. O Malley stands up and beckons Smith to join him on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so O Malley counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him. O Malley stands and steps away. Smith gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Smith works over O Malley's head and body with a nice combination. O Malley misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Smith tries to grapple but his opponent circles and O Malley counters with an outside leg kick.
O Malley misses with a takedown and Smith counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Smith. O Malley is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Smith wants to get up but he can't break O Malley's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. O Malley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Smith gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Smith looking to sit in guard and control but O Malley gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Smith has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but O Malley can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Smith is looking for a triangle but O Malley pushes his legs off easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Smith looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Smith bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in O Malley's guard. O Malley looking to control.
O Malley pulls Smith in close to his closed guard and prevents Smith from doing any damage or advancing position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that's the end of the fight! Thomas O Malley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got O Malley winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
