Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tony Piaggi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Daddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jonathan Paton and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piaggi lets loose with a powerful body kick. Daddy will feel that in the morning.
Daddy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Piaggi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Daddy wants to stand but Piaggi has his arm trapped.
Daddy tries for a kimura but Piaggi is defending well.
Piaggi wants to control but Daddy postures up.
Daddy looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Daddy is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Piaggi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Piaggi sneaks back into half guard.

Daddy is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Piaggi defends it well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Piaggi wants to sweep here but Daddy controlling him for the moment.
Piaggi is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Piaggi has a closed guard, preventing Daddy from standing up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Daddy looks for a takedown but Piaggi sprawls well.
Piaggi darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Piaggi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Daddy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Piaggi is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Daddy wants to control but Piaggi is keeping busy and won't allow it.

so Piaggi counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Daddy controls Piaggi momentarily but Piaggi frees himself.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Piaggi is looking to work some ground and pound but Daddy has wrist control.
Daddy has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Piaggi passes Daddy's left leg - he's now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Piaggi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Piaggi thuds a left hand into Daddy's body.
Piaggi has closed the distance and engaged Daddy in a clinch.
Piaggi is pressed up against the cage. Daddy has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Piaggi down to the mat. Piaggi avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Daddy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Piaggi counters with a single leg into guard. Daddy didn't expect that.
Piaggi is in close to Daddy's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Daddy tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Daddy looking to control but Piaggi passes into half guard.

Piaggi wants to get back to his feet.
Daddy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Piaggi is working away from the top position though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Piaggi is looking to advance position but Daddy won't allow it.

Piaggi is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Piaggi is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Daddy sees it coming and defends easily.
Piaggi looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Tony Piaggi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Daddy is not content to let Piaggi control the position.
Daddy with the active half guard here but Piaggi passes nicely into side control.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Piaggi is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Daddy looks calm but he's in trouble here. Piaggi gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Daddy is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Piaggi lets go of the hold and Daddy can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Tony Piaggi!
