Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lusk fails to land the takedown. Lusk digs a good body shot into Rage's ribs. Lusk fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Lusk looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Rage trying to hold on to Lusk's head to control him but Lusk postures up.
Lusk thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rage's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rage avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Lusk. Lusk wants to free his trapped foot but Rage is holding on for dear life with his legs. Rage blocking the ground and pound attempt from Lusk. Rage is controlling Lusk's position as best he can from this difficult position. Rage wants to improve his position but Lusk is controlling well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rage throws a solid leg kick but Lusk takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Rage. Lusk shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Rage gets caught flat footed, as Lusk shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rage is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Rage is looking for a triangle but Lusk pushes his legs off easily.
Lusk lands a couple of decent looking shots. Lusk throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Lusk thows a big elbow that misses. Lusk missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Rage looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rage managing to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rage working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lusk. Lusk with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Lusk stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rage swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lusk in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Rage is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Lusk throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Lusk wants to pass to mount but Rage is defending the position. Rage is looking for a sweep. Lusk is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Rage is in trouble now - Lusk has advanced to mount! Lusk with a couple of short strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lusk working the ground and pound effectively.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rage is desperately trying to improve his position but Lusk has a good base and remains in mount. Rage looks gassed! Rage tries to hold on but Lusk postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lusk throws a front kick aimed at Rage's knee but Rage avoids it well. Lusk circles away from the clinch attempt.

Lusk wants to pass to mount but Rage is defending the position. Lusk throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lusk missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Lusk trying to mount his opponent but Rage defends it. Lusk wants to advance to full mount but Rage doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lusk makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Lusk keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rage's head. Rage utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Rage throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Lusk wants to get back to full guard. Rage wants to take a breather but Lusk is having none of it. Rage might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lusk kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Lusk moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Rage slips nicely into half guard. Rage content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Lusk is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rage's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rage's back!

Lusk not allowing Rage to control his hands. Lusk patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Rage wants to control his opponent's hands but Lusk gets his hands free. Jerry Lusk overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lusk is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Rage has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Lusk throwing sloppy strikes. Lusk scores with strikes from the back.
Rage turns into Lusk and is now in his guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rage working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Lusk throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Lusk has his foot on Rage's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rage works his way back into a safe position though. Rage looking to pass the guard. Lusk trying to control the position.

Jerry Lusk dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Rage tries to avoid it but Lusk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rage to the ground. Rage escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Rage fails to land the takedown. Lusk scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Lusk trying to mount his opponent but Rage defends it. Lusk is working hard here to advance position. Lusk is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rage sees it coming and defends easily. Lusk misses with a head shot. Rage uses the momentum to regain guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rage keeping full guard, as Lusk tries to pass. Lusk distracts Rage with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Lusk slips nicely into half guard. Lusk landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Rage regains full guard. Nicely done. Rage trying to keep a closed guard but Lusk is proving a slippery customer.
Lusk postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rage is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lusk, into his guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rage controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rage is looking to work some ground and pound but Lusk has wrist control. Lusk is trying to control the position but Rage postures up. Lusk had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rage defends it easily. Lusk might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lusk keeping moving, preventing Rage from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rage pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lusk is keeping the position for now. Lusk tries to land a sweep but no joy.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Lusk moves out of range as Rage throws a body kick.
Rage misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Lusk counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lusk. Lusk postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Rage is trying to keep Lusk in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lusk is looking to advance position but Rage has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Lusk keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Wilson Rage has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rage throwing strikes but Lusk bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top. Lusk looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Rage puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Lusk manages to get to full guard.
Rage got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lusk has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rage has managed to get both his arms back between Lusk's legs - danger averted.
And that's the end of the fight! Jerry Lusk showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lusk, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
