The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Viktor Lagutenko and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body kick there by Bongo.

Emelianenko shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bongo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Emelianenko lands a decent elbow from side control.

Emelianenko wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bongo, who protects the arm well.
Emelianenko could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Emelianenko creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bongo sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Emelianenko wants to control but Bongo is keeping him busy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Emelianenko decides to stand back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Bongo catches Emelianenko with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Bongo goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Emelianenko shoots in looking for a takedown. Bongo tries to sprawl out of it but Emelianenko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bongo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bongo with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Emelianenko throws a push kick but Bongo slaps the foot to one side.

and Bongo counters with a nice low kick that buckles Emelianenko's knee momentarily.
Emelianenko shoots in for a double leg but Bongo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Emelianenko decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Emelianenko is trying to control the action in half guard but Bongo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Emelianenko is just content to waste time from the top position. Bongo takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Emelianenko has clasped his hands together around Bongo's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Bongo is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Emelianenko has just dragged him back down to the mat.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Fedor Emelianenko will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Emelianenko cracks Bongo with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Bongo wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Emelianenko.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
