The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Durans fails in his attempt to clinch. Durans throws a half hearted mid kick. Durans wants to clinch up but Lesnar keeps it at a distance. The fight stays on the outside here - Durans looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Durans leaves Lesnar with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Durans swinging wildly here.
Lesnar throws a right and a left that both miss. Lesnar shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Durans napping and manages to drive through into side control! Lesnar working the ground and pound.
It looks like Tristan Durans has been cut. Lesnar trying to control the position but Durans is working away. Lesnar has knee on belly momentarily but Durans bucks him off and regains half guard. Lesnar not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Lesnar shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Lesnar wants to pass to mount but Durans is defending the position. Lesnar stands up and beckons Durans to join him on the feet. Lesnar throws a left and a right that both miss
and Durans counters by moving into the clinch. Lesnar has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Durans avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Durans stalling.
Lesnar breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Durans stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Durans wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brock Lesnar. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lesnar throws a right hand that Durans ducks under and follows up with a left that Durans also avoids with ease. Durans tries to clinch but Lesnar moves out of range. A left and a right from Durans both land. Nice combination. Lesnar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Durans wants to get back to his feet but Lesnar is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Lesnar thows a big elbow that misses.

Lesnar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Lesnar not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Durans pushes Lesnar up against the cage in a clinch. Durans can't break the clinch.

Lesnar tries to work over Durans's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Lesnar jumps guard and drags Durans to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Durans wants to get up but he can't break Lesnar's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Lesnar is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Durans avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Durans really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lesnar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Durans tries to stand but Lesnar is controlling from the bottom. Durans must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lesnar has control of Durans's left arm, preventing Durans from doing any damage.

Lesnar has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lesnar stands and throws Durans's legs to the side, diving into side control. Lesnar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Durans keeps working. Durans trying to remain calm as Lesnar controls from the top position. Lesnar working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Durans is trying to get back to his feet. Lesnar decides to stand back up.

Brock Lesnar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Durans cracks Lesnar with an open hand slap. Durans tries to clinch but Lesnar is having none of it. That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Lesnar throws a nice looking combination but Durans bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Durans stuffs the takedown attempt from Lesnar. Lesnar gets slowly back to his feet. Durans defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lesnar. Durans tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Lesnar counters with a takedown into side control. Brock Lesnar is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Durans trying to remain calm as Lesnar controls from the top position. Lesnar creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Durans sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. The referee asks Lesnar politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Lesnar prefers to stall for the moment though.
And that's the end of the fight! Brock Lesnar showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lesnar, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
